Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse takes off almost exactly where the first movie left off. There’s just about an hour or so before we hit that last seen from the first movie. In this movie Alice (Jovovich), returns to fight off the invasion of zombies in Raccoon City. She’s been heavily infected with the T-virus (the virus that normally causes people to turn into zombies) but it’s made her super human. Alice is asked by one of the Umbrella scientist to save his daughter. His daughter is the little girl who was the hologram in the first movie. Alice also deals with Nemesis, or Adam from the first movie. Adam was infected with something else, and he mutated into something far from human.

I’m not sure that I actually liked the movie at all, but I don’t think it was a total waste of a movie. I just suddenly think that zombies aren’t really my thing, and this movie had plenty of them. What it also had was certainly more of a developed storyline than the first movie, and way better action scenes and effects. I do recommend this movie to both people who are into Zombie movies, and people who were looking forward to the sequel of the first Resident Evil movie; I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
