Gary Cole Speaks Out Crusade fans who have been concerned about whether Gary Cole would return if Crusade earned a second season can rest easy for now. In a recent interview in Cult Times, Gary said he would be happy to return to Crusade. Author Richard Moore comments, "It seems that if Cole is free, he'd love to return. After all, there is still an awful lot of universe out there left to explore... " Gary remarked: ""CRUSADE could go anywhere . . . and that's the fun of it" (Richard Moore, "Welcome Matt . . . ", Cult Times, British ed., August, 1999, p. 32). For Gary's sake, we have to hope he's busy and unavailable for Crusade, but I'm sure he'd pardon our selfishness in hoping that both Matthew Gideon and Crusade will return to the airwaves soon.
